March 11 - 13 > 3749 Ponte Chiodo B&B in
Venice
"The guest house takes its name from the very particular and ancient bridge without a parapet, one of which is at the entrance of the house, and is the only one remained in the town of Venice. 3749 Ponte Chiodo offers the opportunity to feel the spirit of Venice with accommodation in a recently restored (2003) antique Venetian house. It is located near the famous palace Ca’ D’Oro and, across the Grand Canal, from the famous Rialto fish and spice Market. "
March 13 - 20 > Pick up our
rental Alpha from Kemwel in
Venice.
Our
week begins at Villa Torre a Cona.
"The villa Torre a Cona is an imposing villa with a tower, one of the most sumptuous residences in Tuscany. It is located in a farm estate set well back from a country road only eight miles to the south east of Florence in the Chianti hills."
We couldn't resist adding in a little side trip, and once we
figured out Monaco was only 4 1/2 hours away (with the Cinque Terre
located ideally for a lunch and pesto-buying stop), we decided to
use a free Marriot night we've been hoarding
and take an overnight daytrip from Tuscany to Moncao on the
15th.
